Covid-19 Genomic Impromptus is a live streaming performance played by BSBLOrk on a midi translation of the first SARS-CoV-2 genome coding, made by two female Brazilian researchers. Musicians and coders will be using several tools for creating a live music improvisation, exploiting the beauty and the uglyness from the material source codes and symbols. Tools used in the performance include DAWS, live coding (in TidalCycles), programmed software in Max-MSP that transforms live webcam captured movements into fractal sounds (holofractalmusic.wordpress.com) and others.
Since 2012, Brasília Laptop Orchestra aims at making sustainable and socially committed experimental algorithmic music with computers and hemispheres, eventually playing with invited acoustic instruments musicians. Now, in the streaming wave, we are: Eufrasio Prates (euFraktus X, conductor), Philip Jones (Mentufacturer), Joenio Costa (dj algoritmo), Jackson Marinho (VJ), Eduardo Kolody, Anesio Azevedo (Stellatum).
